La Trobe University is a top ranking Australian university located in Victoria, with campuses in Melbourne (Bundoora), Albury-Wodonga, Beechworth, Bendigo, Mildura, Melbourne City and Shepparton. The University was named after Charles Joseph La Trobe.
La Trobe University is the founder of the International Network of Universities (INU), and is a member of the Innovative Research Universities (IRU), Australia.
The University has a number of research centres and institutes, including the Biosciences Research Centre; Innovative Universities European Union Centre; Institute for Human Security; Institute for Social and Environmental Sustainability; Research Centre for Linguistic Typology; to name a few.
