According to the THES - QS World University Rankings, seven institutions in Belgium are ranked among the World's Top 400 in 2007. Katholieke Universiteit LEUVEN is ranked 1st in the country, 17th in Europe and 61st in the world, followed by Université catholique de LOUVAIN (UCL) (123rd globally), University of GHENT (124th globally), Université Libre de BRUXELLES (ULB) (154th), University of ANTWERP (187th), Vrije University BRUSSELS (VUB) (229th), and University of LIEGE (262nd).

In another world university ranking - Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2008, four institutions from Belgium are ranked in the Global Top 200. They are all rated in the rank range of 101 -151:

According to the Financial Times Top 65 European MBA Ranking, Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School is ranked in the Top 10 in Europe. Solvay Business School is placed 22nd in Europe, followed by Universiteit Antwerpen Management School (52nd) and IAG-Louvain School of Management (58th).
