The National University of Singapore (NUS), founded in 1980 by a merger of the University of Singapore (founded in 1962) and Nanyang University (founded in 1956), offers the best environment and training to all its undergraduate and postgraduate students. Today NUS is the largest university in Singapore. It has a student population of over 32,000 students, of which over 9,000 are graduate students.
