Founded in 1826, University College London (UCL) is one of the world top leading universities and a member of the Britain elite Russell Group. It is also the first UK university establishing a campus in Adelaide (Australia) in May 2008.

UCL is ranked among the world top 10 university in a number of international league tables. It is a research-led university with 59 departments achieving top ratings of 5* and 5 in the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE 2001).
