The Division of Fine Arts offers course work in music and theatre. The student in art may earn any one of the following degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Art (with concentration in one or more of the following areas: ceramics, drawing, painting or printmaking); Bachelor of Arts in Art Education; or Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design. In the Humanities Division, students explore literature, language, philosophy, history, ministry and theology. Programs offered in the Brescia Division of Mathematics and Natural Science prepare students for a wide variety of career opportunities in hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, long-term care facilities, etc.
Brescia University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The Ministry Formation Program was granted candidacy accreditation in March 1997 by the United States Catholic Conference (USCC) Commission on Certification and Accreditation. The Bachelor of Science in Social Work Program was fully accredited by the accrediting body, Council on Social Work Education, in June of 2000. The Teacher Education programs are accredited by Kentucky’s Education Professional Standards Board.
Brescia University is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission.
