Graceland University is a private, four-year liberal arts school founded at Lamoni, Iowa in 1895.

The University has the following Schools and Divisions: Division of Fine Arts; Division of Health and Movement Science; Division of Humanities; Division of Science and Math; Division of Social Science; Edmund J. Gleazer School of Education; C.H. Sandage School of Business; Community of Christ Seminary; School of Nursing.

The School of Nursing grants traditional BSN, RN to BSN, BA-HCM, RN to MSN, and MSN degrees. The University also offers online programs. The online M.Ed. Program is available to educators who hold an undergraduate degree in education or an educational endorsement from an accredited university. The School of Nursing offers Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Management, RN to BSN, RN-MSN, and Master of Nursing (MSN) degrees online.

Graceland University is a member of the North Central Association and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The teacher education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and are approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and the Iowa Board of Nursing.

Notable alumni of the university include: Bruce Jenner (Olympic gold medalist, 1976), C. Robert Mesle (Process theologian, 1972), Milton Young (politician, Republican U.S. Senator from North Dakota, 1945-1981), Teresa Carpenter (Pulitzer Prize winner, 1981), etc.
