Georgia College and State University (GCSU) is a public university located in Milledgeville, Georgia, USA. It was chartered in 1889 as Georgia Normal and Industrial College.

The University offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs through its Colleges - the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the J. Whitney Bunting College of Business, the John H. Lounsbury College of Education and the College of Health Sciences.

Georgia College & State University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Programmatic accreditations include National Association of Schools of Music; National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration; National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education; Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business; National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education; American Music Therapy Association; Association for Experiential Education; National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission; etc.

Rankings:

- Ranked 31st among both public and private Master's universities in the South, and 11th in the category of "Top Public Universities" for Master's degrees in the South (US News & World Report America's Best Colleges 2010).

- GCSU was named "A Best in the Southeast" college by The Princeton Review in its 2010 survey of colleges and universities in the region. It was also named one of the nation’s 50 “Best Value” public colleges and universities.
