Indiana University School of Medicine
- It offers an Associate of Science in Histotechnology degree to graduates of the certificate program and to histotechnology practitioners who have previously earned certification as a Histologic Technician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) from the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Tarleton State University
- The A.A.S. in Histotechnology program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS).
