According to the 2016 Times Higher Education (THE) 150 Under 50 rankings, ECU was named in a global list of the best universities under the age of 50. It is one of just 19 Australian universities named in the list. The rankings are a global showcase of a new breed of university. They focus on performance indicators such as research, teaching excellence, international outlook and innovation, and highlight universities that are developing at an exceptional rate.

QS World University Rankings:
ECU was named in the Top 250 for Education in the QS World Rankings for 2016. The rankings highlight the world’s top universities across 42 individual subjects, based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact. Moreover, ECU was placed equal 31st among the top universities in Australia in the QS Ranking 2016/2017.
