National University Ranking 2016

According to the U.S. News & World Report National University Ranking 2016, Princeton University was ranked 1st among the nation’s top universities, followed by Harvard University in 2nd place.

Wake Forest University was ranked 27th among 280 national universities. It has been ranked in the top 30 in the national universities category for 20 consecutive years and was also 27th in last year’s guide.

Boston College improved to 30th among the top national universities in the 2016 U.S. News & World Report survey. The College also improved to 35th in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” ranking, reflecting the University’s growing expenditures for financial aid and its commitment to need-blind admissions and to meeting the full demonstrated need of all of its accepted students.

The College of William & Mary is the top public institution in the country and fourth overall for undergraduate teaching. It was also ranked 6th among public colleges and universities and tied for 34th overall among national universities.

The University of Massachusetts Amherst advanced one slot to No. 75 in the Best National Universities category, and continued its ascent among the nation’s best public universities, moving up to No. 29 in the 2016 Best Colleges guide released by U.S. News & World Report.
