The University of Southern Nevada (USN) is a private, non-profit, independent educational institution located in the city of Henderson, Nevada.

The University of Southern Nevada is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU), which is an independent, non-profit membership organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). USN is licensed to operate in the State of Nevada by the Nevada Commission on Postsecondary Education.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program (Henderson campus) is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. The College of Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. The University has received specialized accreditation for its business programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), located in Olathe, Kansas.

The College of Dental Medicine (CODM) was founded in 2007 at the Henderson, Nev. Campus with an initial program offering of Advanced Education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency (AEODO), combined with a Master in Business Administration (MBA).

The College of Pharmacy offers a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program at the following campuses: Henderson, Nevada and South Jordan, Utah.

The College of Nursing offers an 18-month program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program for those who already have a degree in another field.

University of Southern Nevada was named Best Place To Work by the Southern Nevada Human Resources Association.
