Harvard University was ranked No. 1 in the world for Accounting and Finance, followed by London School of Economics and Political Science (No. 2) and the University of Oxford (No. 3), according to the highly respected QS World University Rankings 2013 published by Quacquarelli Symonds.

The University of Melbourne led Australia in the 2013 QS Rankings by Subject, coming first nationally in 15 different subjects. It was placed fifth in the world for Law, while Linguistics was rated sixth, both Psychology and Accounting and Finance were seventh in the world.

The University of Sydney Business School's accounting and finance program, which ranked at No. 9, was amongst three University of Sydney subject areas to appear in the QS top 10. The others were Education (No. 8) and Law (No. 10).

National University of Singapore (NUS) was ranked No. 11 in the world and No. 1 in Asia for accounting and finance, and was also ranked 25th worldwide in the QS World University Rankings 2012/13.

Monash University was ranked in the global top 100 in 28 of the 30 subjects that were rated, including Accounting and Finance (18th in the world).

The University of Amsterdam (UvA) were listed among the QS World University Rankings by Subject worldwide top 50 in ten subject areas, including Accounting & Finance (45th).
